    Antique Brass & Iron Bed.  Directly purchased from Yale University, with inventory numbers.  Totally original paint, original patina on brass, 1875-1880.  Has certificate guaranteeing it came from Yale University, New Haven, CT.  Purchased in 2003.  Manufactured by The Whitcomb Brassted Co., Ansonia, CT.  Late 19th Century Yale Pennant included.

     

     

     

Four Poster Keyhole Design.  Fabulous castings & ornate feet.  The castings are more defined than any bed we have had in 35 years.  The steel pipe & castings have been stripped of all paint.  Only the raw surface remains with a clear coat enamel finish.  Circa 1870's
